About the curator:

Ivo Watts-Russell co-founded the UK independent record label 4AD in 1980. Once described as the Motown of Art Rock bands the label became as renowned for its graphics and packaging as it was for its roster of musicians. In the nearly two decades that Ivo ran the label it was home to artists as diverse as the Pixies, Dead Can Dance, Throwing Muses, Bauhaus, Cocteau Twins and Ivo's own studio project This Mortal Coil.

Two of the artists featured in Evenly Scattered also have a connection to 4AD. Nigel Grierson's photography dominated the sleeves of many of the label's releases and a painting by Cathy Fenwick graced the sleeve of one album.
